My client is a well established charity and they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the department.

For this role candidates will need to have proven charity experience- SORP and ideally Grant Administration and Accounting.

Working in a team, they are looking for candidates who are either Part or fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Key duties will include;

•Preparing monthly reports to budget holders, Operational Board, Research Directorate and the Executive Strategy Board on The Institute’s financial position
•Provide written commentary for the monthly management accounts to explain key variances between actuals and budgets within the divisions, and to support any projected full year variances
•Assisting in the preparation of the five year estimates and plans on an annual basis
•Ensure all budget holders are provided with accurate and robust financial and management information on a monthly basis, and to meet any ad hoc requests for financial analysis
•Assisting in the preparation of statistics and returns for regulatory bodies
•Ensuring Institute and externally funded projects are administered and monitored- administer and account for internal and external funded grants within the divisions
•Costing grant applications
•Establishing and maintaining comprehensive grant records
•Completing grant reconciliations and preparing returns for external funding bodies.

For this role candidates must have experience within charities and ideally have grant administration & accounting experience. In addition to strong technical accounting experience, candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with people across the business.

Strong IT skills are essential for this role- MS Excel and having Agresso experience would be an advantage.
