I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join an organisation in central London.

My client delivers fresh, innovative, industry led events to private sector marketplaces. With dedicated staff within each industry sector and excellent research capabilities, they offer events that look at the latest issues and provide you with the business intelligence you need to ensure success and keep ahead of the competition.

They are now seeking a Senior Programme Manager to join their growing production team within their Oil and Gas events division in London. The role promises to be exciting and engaging. You’ll be working in a fast moving, challenging and target driven environment.

At any one time, you’ll be working on a number of different forums and events, covering various areas within the specific sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Topic generation after probation : produce innovative and commercially viable conference topics
• Conducting industry research to formulate commercially successful events
• Creating and developing commercially attractive conference agendas based on the results of industry research and inviting high level, senior speakers to present on specific topics in the programme
• Planning, organising and managing a series of high profile forums, events and workshops
• Full management of events, including liaising with stakeholders, before, during and after an event
• Developing and building harmonious relationships with speakers, sponsors and associations
• Liaising with and briefing sales and marketing teams on the event topic and agenda, and working closely with all teams involved to ensure the event is a success
• Creating web copy and responsibility for programme and speaker pages on conference website
• Attending the events to ensure smooth running on the day and continued networking with speakers
• Help to grow our portfolio and drive revenue for division

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum of 2 years’ production experience within the Energy/ O&G Sector
• Experience within conference production and track record of topic generation, establishing profitable conferences
• Educated to degree level
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Time management : an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines and targets
• Highly motivated and organised with the ability to multi-task, you will need to have a proven track record of producing high-quality work and display outstanding organisation skills and attention to detail
• Quick learner and commercially driven
• Must show evidence of working effectively within a team
• Confident and able to speak to senior industry personnel over the phone and face to face
• Able to cope with stress and a can-do attitude
• Additional European languages is not essential but beneficial
