We are working with one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers who are seeking a Commercial Account Handler at their Halifax offices.You’ll join a team of experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handlers dealing with all aspects of Commercial Insurance Broking working closely with the Commercial Account Executives helping to build a profitable client base and generating income to or above agreed targets in line with the business plan.
The role involves retention and new business of large commercial insurance products including package and commercial combined, where you will achieve all agreed targets for commercial insurance products and ensure systems and procedures are properly maintained.
You will maintain an excellent standard of customer service and produce clear and concise correspondence and prioritise your work to ensure deadlines are met.
It is essential that you have gained previous commercial insurance experience, ideally in a similar account handling role, and have technical experience of handing package and small commercial lined of business. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and have a good standard of general education, preferably to ‘A’ Level or equivalent to include English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
