Cameron James Professional Recruitment is working with a professional services organisation, based in the City, who is looking to add a Payroll and HR Officer to their existing HR Team. Providing HR and payroll support services to the London Office you will run the monthly staff payrolls and benefits administration and act as the first point of contact for payroll and HR queries from staff and to maintain and set up PeopleSoft and ADP Freedom records as well as the electronic personal files.

Responsibilities:
• Recruitment co-ordination advertising the role, posting on to the intranet and website, compiling CV packs, maintaining and updating the records, arranging interviews and testing.
• Drafting the offer letter and sending out the offer pack for roles in the client group.
• Commencing and keeping track of the pre-employment checks.
• Confirming the start date and starting arrangements with new staff.
• Responsible for preparing and running the local and posted staff payrolls from start to end on ADP Freedom, running manuals when necessary.
• Monthly payroll of circa 130 staff in total, using the fully managed service with a high level of client control.
• The payroll expert in the department, the main point of contact for payroll and HMRC queries
• Running and creating various reports for other parts of the organisation on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
• Maintaining the process document and continuously looking at ways we can improve the process and use of the system.
• Responsible for the benefits administration for all staff, which includes, the pension scheme, life assurance, long term sickness cover, private medical healthcare, cycle to work, childcare vouchers, organising health assessments, etc.
• Dealing with the annual leave end of year process.
• Assist with the annual review process for support staff
• Updating PeopleSoft and ADP when requested
• Issue new contracts to staff
• Issue salary increase and bonus letters to support staff.
• Tracking probation reviews ensuring that they take place and that the subsequent changes are implemented.

Person Specification:
• Strong working experience of ADP Freedom
• Experience of coordinating relocations from one office to another
• An awareness and understanding of taxation rules and international payroll
• Some HR experience would be useful
• Ownership mindset
• High attention to detail
• A desire to continuously review and improve the department
• Experience of working in a similar industry would be helpful
