Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a Business Service Provider who are looking for a HR & Payroll Assistant to support the HR team and to provide high quality and effective payroll, systems support and HR administration across the range of generalist HR services.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records for all staff on the HR database and ensure that all information is fully up to date.
• Request and chase references for new employees and effectively manage some areas of HR Administration to support the HR Business Partners
• Act as the main point of contact for all UK employees in regards to the UK Payroll
• To answer any HR/payroll queries from UK employees efficiently and helpfully
• To be conscious of the processes that take place pre and post payroll and, in particular, to ensure that if employee communication is required, this does take place
• To ensure that the payroll input is checked before being sent, to minimise potential errors
• To provide accurate and appropriate reporting
• To provide specific and accurate advice on benefits processed through payroll e.g. childcare vouchers, cycle scheme
• To promote and advertise internally flexible benefits for the advantage of employees
• Check staff changes log at payroll processing for new joiners to payroll
• Keeping a note of the change on the staff changes log for payroll processing
• Processing all laver documentation and processing on the system
• Preparing leaver letter with input from HRBP if necessary
• Issuing staff changes notification
• To provide on-site cover in the absence of other team members
• To support HRBP’s

Person Specification:
• Enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual with experience of working in a fast-paced HR department.
• As much a team player as able to work on his/her own initiative.
• An appetite to learn, and in return be prepared to contribute as part of a strong team.
• Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent
