Job Information

Cameron James Professional Recruitment is working with a National not-for-profit organisation who are looking to appoint a HR Officer. The HR Officer will support the wider HR Team in the provision of a highly effective and efficient HR service including advice and functional guidance in line with company policy, strategy, best practice and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:
• To ensure effective recruitment practices are implemented and that staff are recruited in a timely fashion.
• Provide information, support and advice to staff on all matters relating to HR.
• To ensure systems and processes are continuously improved and meet the needs of the developing organisation.
• To advise managers on Employment Law and best practice and HR policies and procedures.
• Advising and participating in disciplinary and grievances matters in line with the organisations policy
• Provide advice and support for organisational change including liaison and negotiation with employees
• Ensure HR systems and information is kept up to date
• Identify internal training needs, liaising with external providers where necessary

Person Specifications:
• CIPD qualified to level 3 or equivalent
• Experience and knowledge of providing generalist HR advice
• Extensive working knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application
• Ability to make decisions both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to communicate complex information to a range of different audiences
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
• Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail
• The ability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships at all levels and be an effective team player
• Commitment to promoting equality and diversity
• IT literate (proficient in the use of MS Office)
