Our client is part of a leading International Insurance group and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the FC, the role will involve working as part of a busy team and will be responsible for recording all financial statements, management of month-end processors, Year-end compliance and statutory reporting.

Managing a small team, key duties and responsibilities will include;

•Review and assist Quarterly and Year-end Statutory accounts preparation
•Filing accounts in accordance with PRA and FCA
•Manage the full month-end process, reviewing the balance sheet and P&L
•Multi-currency account and general ledger reconciliation
•Corporation Tax and review of VAT
•Manage 2-3 junior accountants
•Provide technical support to other departments
•Assisting with cash flow and the collections process
•Document and maintain processors in line with Solvency ll and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)

For this role it is essential that candidates are fully qualified ACA/ ACCA/CIMA and have a proven background within financial accounting.

Candidates must have significant experience of preparing financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP and have worked within a regulated PRA/FCA environment.

Ideally candidates will have experience within Insurance or Financial Services markets.

Working with a well established friendly team, candidates must have strong communication skills, be confident dealing with senior managers and be a self-starter.
