An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Windermere : Kendal, Cumbria area for a varied Accounts Assistant. This position will revolve around working as part of a small team within a fast-paced, evolving brand that already has international reach. This diverse role, combining a range of tasks from Purchase Ledger to Payroll, will report to the Managing Accountant.

Key duties will include:
• Processing invoices for both receivable and payable functions
• Preparing deposit and payment activities
• Maintaining customer accounts and proactively chasing debts
• Performing account, bank and any necessary reconciliations
• Setting up and maintaining accounts
• Conducting monthly payroll function
• Maintaining journals and ledgers
• Dealing with petty cash and expense reports

Ideal candidate:
• Previous experience in a similar, well-rounded role - desired
• Proficient in Microsoft systems (particularly Excel)
• Motived by a team setting
• Ability to work to targets
• Strong organisational skills
• Ambition to develop

My client is offering a competitive salary of £16,000 to £17,000 dependent upon experience.
