Our client is the UK’s largest retailer in their product sector, importing and exporting products worldwide. Continued expansion has opened up an opportunity for a Senior Purchasing Manager to head up their global procurement function.

Working out of their Harlow office, the roll has responsibility for all global purchasing functions, including the stock teams, with the majority of product being sourced from the Far Eastern and Europe.

The main duties are as follows:
• Leading a busy and dynamic buying team, consisting of 5 people, with full autonomy : reporting to the board of Directors.
• Accountability for stock availability.
• Fully responsible for New Product Development and new product line development.
• Maintaining and improving on Sla’s and KPI’s, specifically profit margin on product lines.
• Working with Product Testers & Marketing Teams to bring these products to the Market.

Due to nature of the role, the ideal applicant will have experience in:
• A retail or wholesale environment, experience in buying finished goods for resale is critical.
• Minimum of 3 years in a management role, specifically at least 5 years within a Buying environment.
• CIPS at level 5 is preferred.
• The role will require international travel from time to time.
