My client, based in the Dagenham area, is searching for an experience accounts assistant to join their small but lively team. This diverse role includes a combination of different tasks ranging from dealing with the petty cash to the purchase ledger. This position reports into the Financial Controller.

Main duties:
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Submitting expenses
• All purchase ledger duties
• Dealing with the petty cash
• Resolving client queries
• Other ad hoc duties

Ideal candidate:
• 2 years’+ experience in an accounts/purchase ledger role
• Working knowledge of Sage 50
• Good understanding of MS Office : particularly Excel
• Great communication skills
• Versatile attitude to day-to-day activities

This role would suit someone who is looking for a change of environment within accounts and has the experience to hit the ground running. My client is offering a competitive salary of up to Β£25,000 and would prefer someone to start as soon as possible.
