We are working with a well-established and growing FMCG business and they are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to head up their finance team.

Reporting into the Directors, the role will involve managing all day to day aspects of the finance team, in addition to preparing monthly management and Year-end accounts. Key duties will include;

•Preparation of monthly accounts, including P&L, Balance sheet, Accruals and prepayments
•Year-end statutory accounts, including preparation of the audit file ready for the auditors
•Preparation of the management pack / board pack, reporting the figures to the Directors
•Assisting with project work i.e. implementing ERP and automating costing across the business
•Involvement with strategy & commercial aspects of the business
•Weekly cash flow forecasting and cash reporting
•Daily banking and bank reconciliation
•Assisting with the budgeting and reporting on variances- month on month, YTD ect
•Cashbook posting, Journals, Nominal postings, Reconciliation of Purchase ledger, General and Nominal ledger
•Overseeing purchase ledger, credit control and transactional accounts
•Managing the running of the office including insurance, supplies and housekeeping ect
•Management of 2 accounts staff- day to day management, training and development

For this role candidates must have proven accounting experience and have worked in a similar role (TO c30m). Professional Qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/AAT) would be desirable, although not essential.

This is a busy and fast paced role, so candidates must be able to come in and hit the ground running. Ideally candidates will be familiar with Sage (200) and have good MS Excel experience.

Candidates will need to have strong communication skills, be professional and confident dealing with managers across the business.
