Part-time Logistics Co-ordinator - 25 hours per week

The main role is to organise the placement of Purchase Orders and Transfer Orders, to optimise the fulfilment service that we offer to our Customers, whilst maintaining minimum stocks on site to achieve that goal. Working closely with the Sales and Export Departments, you’ll be the key interface between the global supplier base and the Warehouse function.

Specific duties are as follows:

Planning
Timely placement of Purchase Orders worked through on Requirements Planning. Liaise with the Logistics Manager regarding Quantities, Planned shipments and Container Loads.
Timely placement of Transfer Orders with the 3rd Party Warehouse/s in China, again utilising Demand Planning software and Liaising with Logistics.
Liaising with Sourcing Partners on Order Confirmations and chasing through Orders and information about their status.
Ensuring that the system details that support the Requirements Planning software are up to date (Planning Legs, MOQ’s, Carton Quantities and Lead Times).

Communication
Liaising on the availability of stock to support Export Orders (UK English Language Products).
Information exchange with Sourcing Partners and 3rd Party Warehouse about Bills of Materials (and changes of) related to Purchase Orders, Priorities and Quantity queries.
Control of ADD (Anti Dumping Duty) paperwork.
Discussion with Sales and Warehouse regarding movement of stock, quantities and priorities. Also any Variances against Deliveries.
Occasional working with Logistics to the end of building container load transfers loaded with stock.

IT
Input of Purchase Orders and Transfer Orders.
Updating system notes for any new Deal Orders placed.
Receiving of stock for both Purchase Orders and Transfer Orders.
Resolving Invoice Queries.
Updating the Computer system with details as required. This will include Trade Agreement Price File, Date Information and RP fields.
Manual spreadsheet work related to 3rd Party Warehouse/s Transfers.

Admin
Filing paperwork as necessary.
Checking stock matches between P/O deliveries and China warehouse receipts and Remote Stock checking of the 3rd Party Warehouse/s on a PI basis.
Organisation of Stock Disposal from 3rd Party Warehouse/s associated with agreed Written Off Product.
Handling the Import paperwork in the absence of the freight forwarder.
Verification of Purchase Orders when compared to Sourcing Partners and 3rd Party Warehouse/s.
