We are working with a leading global manufacturing company and they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the business.

The role will involve supporting the factory Financial Controller and involve preparing accounts for one of their main UK manufacturing sites.

For this role they are looking for someone who has proven experience within the manufacturing / engineering sector and ideally have previous experience preparing factory or plant/site accounts.

Key duties will include;

-Assisting with month-end accounting, including management accounting and management / factory pack
-Preparation of the P&L, Balance sheet reconciliation, Accruals and prepayments
-Budgeting and forecasting, including reporting against variances
-Analysis and reporting on factory performance - costings, materials, products, production costs, labour ect
-Stock control and reporting
-Drilling down and analysis of accounting, including full production and job costs, manufacturing and site performance
-Analyse production jobs and review raw material usage.
-Liaise with manufacturing and production managers on financial performance, including interpretation of the figures and recommendation for improvements

For this role candidates can either be studying towards CIMA/ ACCA or be QBE (Qualified by Experience). It is essential that candidates have proven experience working in a similar role and have relevant industry experience.

In addition to strong technical accounting experience, candidates must hold strong communication skills and be able to interpret the figures to both finance and non-finance managers across the business.
