Our client is a well established motor dealership and they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant.

The role will report direct into the MD and the ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the motor trade.

The main focus of the role will be to prepare monthly accounts, including management accounting, month-end preparation and accounts analysis. Key duties will include;

•Monthly management accounting, including preparation of the P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and accruals and prepayment
•Preparing Year-end statutory accounts and preparing for the auditors
•Analysis and reporting on Sales, Stock, depreciation and dealership performance
•Cash flow reporting and forecasting
•Overseeing 2 accounts assistants - all day to day accounts
•Supporting the sales teams with analysis, including budget vs actuals and variance analysis.

Candidates will need to have worked at a similar level and holds strong technical accounting experience. Professional qualifications are not essential, although it would be an advantage to hold AAT or studying towards CIMA / ACCA.

Motor trade experience is the most desirable experience and knowledge of working for dealerships and the motor industry.
