An exciting opportunity is now available for a Corporate Account Handler to join an already successful team in Halifax.

You will assist and carry out insurance administration as required and provide day-to-day servicing and administration of clients' insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner in accordance with procedure and performance standards.

Provide broking and administrative services to clients.
Giving instructions to insurance providers.
Supporting Account Executives on a day to day basis.
Checking policy documents (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to receipt by clients.
Handling invoicing of premiums due, maintaining effective credit control in respect of allocated clients.
Processing correspondence, renewals, pre-renewal activity, quotations and computer input.
Ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis.
Collate and prepare reports for both the client and insurer market.
Understand clients' situations, opportunities and problems and design appropriate solutions.
Ensure, where possible, premiums are settled in accordance with company credit control procedures.
Expand existing client portfolios to include additional covers and to produce new business leads for the sales team.
Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as on-going at-desk training.
Develop and maintain positive on-going relationships with insurers and underwriters in a professional manner.

You will have at least three years' commercial account handling exposure within the insurance sector, preferably cross-class commercial. Work toward CII will be an advantage as this will be fully supported if successful.
