We are working with a growing services based SME, near to Coventry Airport and they are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to head up their UK based company.

Reporting into the Directors, the role will involve complete control of the accounts function, in addition to working as part of the senior management team focusing on the strategy and growth of the business.

With ambitious plans to grow the business through growth and acquisition, the ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious, commercially astute and be looking for a fast paced and progressive role. Candidates who have worked in growing SME's in a period of substantial growth and have acquisition experience would be of interest.

Key focus of the role;

•Management of finance across 2 UK sites (managing a small team)
•Preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end process
•Statutory accounting and preparing for the auditors
•Preparation of the management pack- attending weekly and monthly meetings to present financial figures to Directors
•Involvement with strategy and growth of the business, working as part of the senior management team
•Commercial analysis - cost savings, P&L analysis, performance reporting and drilling down on the accounts
•Budgeting and cash flow reporting
•Implementation of sound financial controls and improving and reviewing current systems and procedures.
•Overseeing and hands on involvement of all day to day accounting - ledger control, accounts reconciliation, cash management, fixed assets, payroll, credit control ect

For this role candidates will need to be fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA and have strong technical accounting experience and have worked in a similar role.

It is essential that candidates are confident, hold excellent communication skills and are confident working as part of the senior management team - presenting and interpreting the financials.
