Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a public sector organisation who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor on a part-time basis for a 1 year fixed term. The HR Advisor will lead improvements in the HR service through innovative and best practice policy development, ensuring systems and processes are in place to support a professional HR service.
This operational role will provide HR advice and guidance to senior managers, Heads of Departments, employees, HR Colleagues and wider stakeholders on a part-time basis 4 days per week (flexible).

Responsibilities
• Manage and take the lead in Employee Relation issues and casework.
• Supporting the wider HR Team in advising, supporting and coaching people managers in relation to employment law and performance management issues.
• Responsible for producing and analysing management information relating to staff turnover, sickness absence and liaising with people managers regarding staff probationary reviews.
• Supporting the recruitment function supporting the delivery of the recruitment and selection process across the business.
• Assist with various projects supporting the team in order to assist with achieving the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives across the business.

Person Specification:
• CIPD qualification or equivalent with considerable generalist HR experience.
• Self-motivated with a positive, can do attitude, able to work on own as well as part of a well-established team.
• Able to demonstrate strong technical (HR) knowledge, have an understanding of employment legislation
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication/presentational skills.
• Good all round IT skills, excellent communication and numeracy skills and have worked with payroll and HR systems.
