Our client is a medium sized not for profit organisation; they are based near to North Lambeth. They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the business for a fixed term contract.

This varied and exciting role will include the following duties:
• Oversee the running of the Finance Department
To lead the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, strategic financial plans, maintenance of the rolling budget, and associated financial reports.
• To monitor the provision of hours ensuring that no unauthorised over provision of hours are supplied, and that all variations are accurately reflected in the Budget and the requisite Income is collected.
• To assist in the preparation of reports for the Board, Chief Executive, Senior Management Team, Finance and Audit Committee, Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance as required.
• To assist the Deputy Director of Finance in preparing the Group’s annual reports and accounts in line with the requirements of SORP, charity law, the Companies Act, the Inland Revenue, other relevant legislation and best practice.
To manage the management accounts function ensuring that the information supplied to budget holders is relevant, reliable and user friendly.
• To ensure that all budgets are accurate, achievable and motivational.
• Take a lead role in management account meetings identifying issues and making recommendations where applicable.
• To provide statistical, benchmarking and other returns.
• Minimise the time between closedown and the issuing of Management Accounts
• To be responsible for the Rolling Budget Management function ensuring that the budgets are current, accurate, and complete.
• To ensure that all budgets are drafted and finalised in a timely and accurate manner, and that all Budget Holders participate appropriately.
• To ensure that all budget assumptions are reasonable and proper.

You will need to have experience in managing and motivating a small finance team. Candidates will be self-starters who are accustomed to working in fast paced and demanding environments. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. It is essential that you have worked in all round role, preferably within the SME Sector.
