Demand and Supply Chain PlannerCameron James Professional Recruitment are recruiting Demand and Supply Chain Planner for a wholesale company based on South west of England.
Due to the companys expansion, they are looking for a Demand and Supply Chain Planner to join the team in Hampshire. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
The successful applicant will a proficient user of ERP systems, with a background in stock management. Focusing on expediting goods through the business to fulfil demand requirements. A strong IT and PC user, proficient in the use of software systems and analytical tools, focusing on key processes and procedures to support
Job summary:
To support the demand planning process, this is a key element of the role fundamental to the support of sales and operational planning, highlighting and communicating to the relevant areas of the business the impact of sales order requirements, which may conflict with our ability to balance supply and demand.
To manage the supply of out sourced products supplied against purchase orders in accordance with supplier agreements and agreed processes, procedures and policies. Supporting the supply chain team with all aspects of running an efficient and timely UK and global end to end supply chain operation
Work proactively with colleagues from all functional areas to assist the Supply Chain Manager with the evaluation of business processes which will reduce excess stocks, and improve profitability, whilst optimising service to our customers.
To maintain and monitor the accuracy of key information, supporting and assisting with the development and maintenance of operational systems and processes, in line with agreed policies and procedures.
To support the supply team in striving to achieve 100% service to our customers whilst optimising inventory, reducing lead times and maintaining a cost down approach to supply chain management. This will include developing and maintaining long term mutually beneficial partnerships across the supply chain network.

Key Duties:
Proficient in the use of MRP and ERP systems, which will include interpreting stock requirements, placing and progress chasing purchase orders in line with agreed processes and procedures.
Assist with the day to day management of stock, monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels ,expediting/de-expediting purchase orders to meet demand requirements and assisting with the clearance of residual product in line with agreed processes and procedures
To assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the order flow of direct shipments to our major customers in line with agreed processes and procedures. Including management of the flow of orders and stock from origin to customer via our overseas warehouses. This will include liaison with our export team, fulfilment houses and selected customers. (Predominantly in the USA market)
Control through close liaison with the companys preferred shipping agent(s) and vendors the timely arrival, clearance through customs and final delivery of shipments to designated warehouses.
Assist with the sourcing of ad hoc consumables, and support purchasing requirements to complete rework in line with agreed processes and procedures
Supporting the customer service and supply teams in highlighting and communicating to the relevant areas of the business the receipt of customer orders, which may conflict with our ability to balance supply and demand.
Work proactively with the shop floor and supply team to resolve any short term out of stocks to improve the overall level of service to our customers.
Assist with the creation and circulation of business information to support supply and demand decisions and to provide visibility of stock shortages and overages to the business and our customers. This will include generating stock trackers and out of stock reports.
Working with the supply team and goods in to schedule the arrival of containers in line with agreed policies and procedures
Assist with monitoring and maintenance of key company data.. This will include the maintenance of key data essential to the effective and efficient management of stock including, maintenance of the item master files, routes, and product structures
Assist with the construction and analysis of stock management reports including measuring stock turns, monitoring safety and excess stock levels
Departmental Key Performance Indicators
Number of stock turns in line with agreed objectives for live and managed inventory
Achievement of safety stock levels in line with agreed tolerances and policies.
Management of accurate due dates within the MPS and MRP purchasing modules
Customer Service achievement on time in full, in line with agreed targets for customer specific service levels and company totals
Achievement of CMI objectives
Data Accuracy of key system master records in line with agreed policies procedures
