Cameron James Recruitment are currently working with a well renowned business protection provider in the Birmingham area who are looking for a Schemes Underwriter to join their team.

Key responsibilities are to maintain and develop relationships with a panel of intermediaries through efficient Scheme Underwriting, administration and servicing of Group business, ensuring that time-scales are met and top level service is achieved.

The role includes providing telephone support for technical queries, providing new business quotations, renewals invitations and policy documentation within agreed SLA’s.
Working within agreed scheme underwriting authority, ensuring that referrals are made when required. Following up all new business quotes within agreed timescales.

The ideal candidate will have Group Risk experience from either a broker or insurer background, possess excellent English, Maths and IT Skills and have the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Candidates from a financial services / advice background will be considered provided they have knowledge and experience of Group Risk, Group Life or General Employee Benefit’s packages.
