Our client is a medium sized not for profit organisation; they are based near to Hammersmith. They are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the business for a fixed term contract.

This varied and exciting role will include the following duties:
To support the Head of Finance in the creation of management accounts and budgets, and in the maintenance of a coherent and effective finance system.
• To support the Head of Finance in the creation of the Management accounts, as follows
• Preparation of monthly income & expenditure reports for various departments, developing new reports as and when required, in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
• Liaison with budget holders on actual figures and variance analysis for monthly commentary.
• To provide detailed analysis for the Head of Finance and budget holders as required.
• To support the Head of Finance in the creation of the annual budget, as follows
• To assist budget holders with the preparation of the annual budget.
• Maintenance of budget templates and periodic updates as required.
• Build & maintain relationships with all budget holders to assist them with control & understanding of their figures.
• Preparation of cash-flow forecasts for both the organisations core & long term development project.
• Monitoring and control of Capital Expenditure.
• Ensuring that the Fixed Asset Register is maintained and depreciation is correctly calculated.
• Monthly input & control of payroll journals & ensuring correct coding of same.
• Reconciliation of control and balance sheet accounts as required.
• Maintenance of the accounting system.
• To provide general back up & support to the Finance Department

The ideal candidate will have significant experience within a high level Management Accounts role. You would need to be fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA. The role is available for an immediate start. Candidates with experience of working within Education would be of particular interest to my client.
