Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a logistics company who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor to work with the HR Manager to provide timely advice, support and direction in respect of Human Resources issues to Managers and staff which is in line with Company procedures and policies and consistent with current legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities:
• Apply the Recruitment Policy to minimise time to appointment and recruitment of best person for the role.
• Involved in recruitment and selection of employees up to first line management positions.
• Provide accurate and timely advice to Line Managers on Policy, Employment Law and Human Resource matters to ensure actions are legally and strategically sound.
• Support Line Managers to conduct Disciplinary and Grievance Investigations and Hearings in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Review sickness absence in order to identify trends and assist Occupational Health and Line Managers in the improvement of attendance.
• Produce statistical reports and data as required.
• Support Line Managers and Trade Union Reps in negotiation and consultation meetings.

Person Specification:
• Good knowledge of employment law.
• Degree educated and CIPD qualified.
• Ideally qualified to Level B Psychometric Assessments and how they can be utilised from an HR and Training and Development perspective.
• Excellent communication skills : oral & written, concise & plain English.
• Intermediate level - Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Organisational skills.
• Experience of ER in a robust environment.
• You must be self-motivated, and able to work own his/her own initiative.
• Must be prepared to work hours required to meet deadlines, in a busy and challenging environment.
