An expanding client of ours are looking for a Commercial Underwriter for their newly opened office in Darlington toprovidequotations to brokers and trading where appropriate.

You duties will include;

• Recognising when more information is required to effectively underwrite a risk and asks appropriate questions in order to obtain such information
• Identifying cover and hazards that will impact on the acceptance, pricing or terms applicable to a risk
• Actively seeking out specialist knowledge from claims surveyors, accounts and other underwriters
• Understanding the impact of claims and risk management on the performance of a case and demonstrates an ability to underwrite taking these factors into account.
• Demonstrating Landscape proficiency and displays effective navigation to allow application inputting, storing and retrieving data as required
• Following all underwriting procedures and completes documentation accurately

You will ideally have experience in Underwriting or broking commercial motor risks, be computer literate, and have achieved or be working towards your Cert CII.
