We are working closely with a leading protection insurance business as they look to recruit a Group Life Administrative Underwriter for their growing team in Birmingham.

The purpose of the role is to maintain and develop relationships with a panel of intermediaries through efficient scheme underwriting, administration and servicing of all Group Business within set timescales to ensure that service deliverables are met.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide telephone support for Intermediaries including technical queries and call back’s within the agreed SLA’s.
• Produce new business quotations with agreed SLA’s.
• Produce renewal invitations and renewal accounts within agreed SLA’s.
• Produce policy documentation within agreed SLA’s.
• Provide administration support including all mid-term adjustments, cancellations, refunds and endorsements.
• Ensure that all records are updated appropriately, including all business supporting spreadsheets and client folders.
• Work within the agreed scheme underwriting authority, ensuring that referrals are made when required.
• Issue all Group Business within Underwriting Standards and Guidelines.
• Apply funding discounts within company guidelines and authorities.
• Follow up all new business quotations issued within agreed timescales.
• Process and set up any new business applications and follow up on any outstanding requirements.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ideally Group Life experience from either an insurer, broker or IFA background
• Good English, Maths and IT skills including Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good team player
• Organised
