Job Information

My client is a UK leadingwholesaler and due to growth are seeking aPurchasing Assistant, with a view of expanding the purchasing function.

To help and assist the Head of Purchasing and product category buyers, including the following responsibilities:

• Raising Purchase Orders and obtain relevant documents from suppliers
• To maintain and update accurate supplier records
• Raise and maintain accurate product codes
• Ensure the most cost efficient method of delivery is correctly arranged and the relevant departments are informed.
• Create out of stock and slow moving stock reports
• Ensure promotional activities are conducted correctly
• Arrange product returns with vendors
• To monitor and chase where necessary of all due supplier refunds, rebates, marketing support funds
• To run and distribute relevant purchasing reports
• Ensure all delivery discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
