My client, a boutique accountancy practice, is looking for a Deputy Practice Manager to join their expanding team. This role, based in the Walthamstow area, is a newly created position that focuses on the management of the practice whilst also taking a hands on approach to the day to day duties. Working within a team of 12, this role reports into the Managing Director.

Main duties:

• Managing and supervising a team of 12
• Review and production of management accounts
• Set-up of accounting reporting packs for new clients
• Approving of supplier and employee payment runs
• Preparing and filing VAT returns
• Compiling statutory accounts
• Production and advice on monthly cash flows
• Auditor liaison and audit support

Ideal candidate

• ACCA or CIMA qualified with 3+ years PQE
• Experience of Sage Accounts software
• Familiar with UK reporting and tax requirements
• Strong Excel skills and IT literate
