City of London
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Excellent Career Progression

Would you like to join a fast growing Insurance broker based in the City of London£
Due to recent success they now have an opportunity to join their team as an Underwriter.

Duties of the Underwriter Position:

• Underwriting and risk assessment of new and repeat business
• Pricing / re-pricing of repeat / new business applications
• Timely completion and submission of all paperwork required by Credit Committee
• To act as a point of reference / guidance for Underwriting Assistants and Administrators
• Provide input into the Recoveries Manager, to identify and catalogue risk sectors and ensure a joined-up approach to risk management
• Fielding queries from all other departments in respect of risk / pricing / policy
• Managing existing accounts and developing new business



The Requirements for the Underwriter:

• 5 Years minimum experience of commercial underwriting experience
• Understanding of the broker environment and broker relationships
• Excellent communication skills : verbal and written
• Live in commutable distance to the office / happy to relocate
• Achieved CII / working towards a Professional Insurance Qualification
