Accounts Assistant - Part time (30 hours a week MAX)

Based: Huddersfield

Salary: £15,000 - £18,000 (full time) - PRO RATA £12,000- £14,500 (based on 30 hours a week)



Cameron James are please to be working with a well know automotive company based in Huddersfield who are now looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join their busy Accountancy team. The client has an excellent record of staff retention and have maintained a steady level of employees for over a decade. Their customer service reputation is next to none and have received a number of awards in this arena, so much so a lot of their customer provide repeat business for the company.

The successful candidate will come from a background in a similar position within an internal Accountancy position and will possess the necessary skill sets to maintain an accurate and timely workload within a high pressured and busy environment.

The Role:

• All encompassing Accounts Assistant position
• Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger responsibilities
• Credit Control responsibilities and general assistance in the day to day running of the Accountancy department
• Actively chasing debtors over the phone, email and in letter format
• Use of Excel at an intermediate level - V-Look up and Pivot tables
• Running reports on all areas of the Accountancy department based on management requirements


The Candidate:

• Experience within an Accounts Assistant position is essential
• Ideally will have used Kerridge internal systems and will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Educated to a degree level preferred although non essential based on experience
• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines with minimal errors
