Job Information

We are currently recruiting for a leading logistics company and they are recruiting for a Data Systems Analyst to work on a 6 month contract.

Working directly with the department manager, the purpose of the job is to update and change current reporting procedures, moving away from manual Excel spreadsheets and automating report generation processes. Maximising the use of the Data Warehouse, other Microsoft Office applications, such as Access databases, and user interface development.

This is a key project for the business and will involve review or current reporting systems and implementation, design and roll out of the new reporting system. The successful candidate will then be part of a future proofing strategy development plan, so the role may well lead onto an extended contract or permanent role within the business.

Key Responsibilities will include;
•Develop new reporting platforms and processes using Microsoft Office applications to move away from current Excel spreadsheets
•Convert current reporting, including automated processing
•Train existing employees once new processes are in place.
•Review or current reporting systems and implementation, design and roll out of the new reporting system
•Design and roll out of a central reporting function - this will document Processors, and work as a tool for all staff to understand and use the system accurately

For this role candidates must have advanced MS Excel and Access skills, SQL, with a good working knowledge of SharePoint including InfoPath.

The ideal candidate will have Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certificate, Expert or Master level (although this is not essential).

As this role will be rolling out the project and will be involved with people across the business, excellent communication skills are essential, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to train other employees.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key position within one of the industries market leaders.
