I am currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join a legal organisation in Kent.

The successful candidate will have experience of working recently as a generalist in a HR Management position within the Legal or professional services sector.

They must be a strong effective communicator in writing, business presentation and interpersonal communication. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and working knowledge of HR applications. Demonstrates ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the company and at senior management level. Able to lead in an environment of change, is able to demonstrate good team working skills and be experienced in organisation development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide and manage the overall provision of HR services and policies
• To provide pragmatic and consistent advice and guidance to personnel
• Carry out annual appraisals on support personnel and provide assistance and guidance to fee-earner appraisals
• Raise issues proactively with heads of department and managing partner
• Administer compensation and benefits
• Oversee employment law compliance in conjunction with Managing Partner and Head of Employment
• Proactively seek ways in which processes and systems can be streamlined to improve efficiency
• Overall talent management strategy: performance appraisals, management and improvement, recruitment, training and development
• Directs administration and facilities management
• Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all personnel
• Conduct induction and exit interviews
• Supervise, oversee and develop the HR Team
• Keep abreast of training and development needs for position


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• CIPD or similar
• Previous experience working as a HR Manager within the legal sector
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Confident and articulate communicator
• Track record in problem solving
• Proven ability to persuade and influence at senior management level
• Absolute discretion and confidentiality
• Computer Literate in particular familiar with Office Suite and Document/Case Management applications
• Numerate
• Articulate
• Excellent organisational skills
