My client is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on a 15 month contract. The role is ideal for a Qualified ACCA/CIMA level candidate who can commit to a 15 month contract

Your role will be to oversee the general accounting activities within the finance team, including purchase ledger, credit control and general ledger and reporting functions. As a member of the management team you will help set business strategies to ensure the finance team hit their objectives. A part of your role will be reporting the accounts for the company as a whole which will require liaising with other divisions.

You will have 2 directly reportees consisting of accounts and admin

Key duties will include:

• Managing the finance team on a day to day basis to ensure accuracy of work and monitoring progress
• Providing feedback on performance to so that team are set clear objectives and meeting their objectives
• Coordinating and consolidating budgets for the business
• Providing accurate and timely management reports
• Manages monhtly/quarterly/annual closing of accounting books including P&L/Balance sheets and inventory
• Reconciling/analysing complex accounts
• Communicating with internal and external auditors
• Assisting HR with payroll processes


Essential skills required:

• ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Manufacturing sector experience
• Strong analytical and accuracy skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Previous management experience


Travel will occasionally be needed including internationally

Candidates must be able to commit to the full contract and a bonus incentive will be offered on completion or the contract. Offering competitive salary of £46k.
