Job Information

My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their Finance Team in Leyton. This role is a temporary 6 months role to cover maternity leave. You would be expected to ensure that the supplier/ purchase ledger is accurate and up to date and that all related financial processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Main duties:

• Sort and check incoming invoices
• Inputting information into accounts systems (helping colleagues)
• Resolve any invoice discrepancies and liaise with internal departments or suppliers as necessary
• Prepare payments for suppliers ensuring accurate and timely payments
• Check and reconcile supplier ledger
• File invoices and statements
• Manage petty cash - checking proof of expenditure and reimburse staff expenses as required


Ideal candidate:

• Experience in finance and purchase ledger
• Experience of Sage accounts systems or similar
• Methodical approach to work
• Ability to manage work load to meet deadlines
• Good telephone skills
