An excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to work for a charity where you will have two direct reports within the management accounts team, and the Finance Manager will also report into yourself.


Duties will include:
• Supporting director and deputy director in meeting needs of the Group
• Preparing annual budget, financial forecasts and maintaining rolling budgets and reports
• Monitoring budget against actual : identifying any anomalies or discrepancies
• Preparing finance reports for board of trustees and Senior management team
• Preparing group annual reports and accounts
• Managing group annual budget setting and reporting revenue and capital budgets
• Completing performance reports
• Leading operational budget management
• Developing relationship with operational teams
• Managing management accounts function
• Providing statistical benchmarking and other returns
• Reducing time between close down and issuing of management accounts
• Producing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
• Planning, allocating and reviewing work to maximise effectiveness
• Ensuring contracts are in place for all income streams
• Ensuring all invoicing and income collection is complete and accurate and that investment income is maximised through effective cash flow system


Key skills:
• Qualified Accountant : ACA/ACCA/CIMA (Essential)
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Advanced Excel skills including VLook ups, pivot tables and macros
• Ability to manage and lead a team
• Able to prioritise workloads and motivate team
• 2 years minimum post qualification
• Experience with SUN systems or similar
• Offering competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum
