My client, a building contractors, is looking for a Sub-Contract Clerk to join their expanding team. This role, based in the St Albans area, is a brand new opportunity for someone with a construction background to join their team. This varied role involves the accurate input of sub-contractors information whilst reporting into the Finance Manager.

Main duties:

• Inputting payments
• Maintaining sub-contractor records
• Preparing payment runs
• Maintaining subcontractor insurances
• Creating new contract accounts
• Inputting of receipts
• Liaising with onsite teams
• Dealing with any queries


Ideal candidate:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of CIS scheme
• MUST have worked in the construction sector
• Knowledge of VAT for residential and mixed contracts is beneficial
