Mortgage Underwriter/Mortgage Assessor - Manchester

A regionally known building society based near the lake district is looking to employ a mortgage underwriter/assessor due to an increase in mortgage applications which is due to continue rising. The ideal candidate will be as follows:

• Current or previous mortgage underwriting experience with a mandate
• Ability to work compliantly
• Experience of working closely with underwriting assistants, solicitors, surveyors
• Understanding of mortgages, mortgage regulation, and lending criteria.
• CeMAP qualification preferable
• Ability to make important and logical decisions
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Good time management skills


This role is offered on a 6 month Contract basis due to the peaks and troughs of the Mortgage Market with a weekly rate circa £800p/w. A permanent position maybe considered for the right candidate at a salary of £20,000 - £22,000 dependant on experience.
