Job Information

We are seeking applicants for a General Manager position to control the logistics and distribution functions of a rapidly expanding company in the business to business delivery sector.



Managing a team of close to 100 people, the busy operation is housed in a 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse, your main duties will include:



• Manage the strategic and tactical warehouse and transport operations
• Take the lead in continuous improvement in service delivery of inbound and outbound product
• Management of a 24/7 operation, leading development of team members
• Manage costs and constantly seek improvements in profit and OTIF
• Ownership of the Health and Safety, disciplinary and fulfilment processes




Experience:



• You must have at least 5 years’ experience at a senior management level within a distribution centre environment
• Experience of managing cost centres, P&L and teams of people working shift patterns
• You will be expected to be completely comfortable with using SAP
