Our client is a rapidly growing Plant Hire business based in North London. Due to the continued expansion, they are seeking a Buyer to join and support the Purchasing function of the business.

The Buyer will work within specific buying categories, working within a cross functional team to plan, develop and implement best practice techniques and best value suppliers to support the business.

The role will involve:


• Strategic market analysis
• Option development
• Selection & Contracting
• Relationship management
• Use of e-sourcing/e-procurement and e-auctions
• Analysis of stock levels



Additionally, you will also be responsible for negotiating prices, placing of orders, spend analysis and reporting of buying activity on a monthly basis.

You must have the following experience:


• 5 years in a professional buying role
• Strong negotiation skills and experience
• CIPS qualified
• E-Procurement experience.
