PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR / PURCHASING MANAGER

I’m seeking applications for a Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Administrator, with proven experience in a purchasing discipline. Please read below for specific details.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchasing Administration

• Purchasing Administration.
• Place orders with suppliers in line with purchasing forecasting tool and own due diligence.
• Ensuring that acceptable stock levels are held to ensure sales demand is met.
• Continuously pursuing supplier promotions to reduce costs where cost effective to do so.
• Check order confirmations against orders raised and update / correct queries prior to delivery being made.
• Maintenance of supplier confirmed delivery dates in the system up-to-date and chase overdue orders with Suppliers.
• Identify any price discrepancies with supplier and notify any unauthorised price increases to your manager.
• Identify delivery queries and ensuring they are resolved to be in company’s best interests, through appropriate credit or replacement stock to the value.
• Procurement of deliveries from supplier
• Back order reporting


Sourcing new products

• Sourcing new products
• Sourcing alternative supply options and new product opportunities and savings.


Specials (new products)

• Setup all new products within 2days from request.
• Create product code / descriptions to company standard.
• Import into Merlin using import facility ensuring no errors.
• Use pricing database to obtain pricing details, update/add where appropriate


Stock management

• Maintain Merlin system with stock expiry dates
• Identify stock with short self-life within parameters of the system
• Cyclic Stock Management
• Stock Adjustment management


EXPERIENCE

• Over 3 year’s experience in a purchasing role.


• Good negotiation skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Strong IT skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with a team and on own initiative.
• Attention to detail.
