Aviation Account Handler

Location : City, London

Salary - £25,000 - £35,000 + Excellent Benefits



Cameron James Recruitment specialise in the placement of insurance professionals from our 3 well situated offices in Leeds, Birmingham and London.

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Aviation Account Handler to join a very successful team based in the City.

You will assist and carry out insurance administration as required and provide day-to-day servicing and administration of clients' insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner in accordance with procedure and performance standards.

• Provide broking and administrative services to aviation clients
• Giving instructions to insurance providers
• Supporting Account Executives on a day to day basis.
• Premiums range from £10,000 to £100,000.
• Checking policy documents (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to receipt by clients.
• Handling invoicing of premiums due, maintaining effective credit control in respect of allocated clients.
• Processing correspondence, renewals, pre-renewal activity, quotations and computer input.
• Ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis.
• Collate and prepare reports for both the client and insurer market.
• Understand clients' situations, opportunities and problems and design appropriate solutions.
• Ensure, where possible, premiums are settled in accordance with company credit control procedures.
• Expand existing client portfolios to include additional covers and to produce new business leads for the sales team.
• Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as on-going at-desk training.
• Develop and maintain positive on-going relationships with insurers and underwriters in a professional manner.


You will have at least 5 years' aviation account handling exposure within the insurance sector, preferably cross-class commercial. Work toward CII will be an advantage as this will be fully supported if successful.
