Job Information

We are working with a well-established SME business within the motor industry and they are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the business.


Reporting into the Directors the role will be responsible for all aspects of accounts and office management. Key duties will include;


•Responsible for financial and administrative requirements of the company.
•Preparation of monthly management accounts - P&L and balance sheet reconciliation
•Budgeting and forecasting
•Prepayments & accruals
•Cash flow reporting and cash management
•Maintaining the fixed assets register
•All day to day accounting - purchase ledger, bank reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation, sales ledger ect
•VAT returns, Corporation Tax and PAYE Returns
•HR duties including contracts, monthly payroll, and P11D
•Company compliance - Health & Safety, Money Laundering Regulations, Environmental Waste and FCA reporting.
•Dealing with company insurance and other office duties
•Overseeing 1 member of staff


For this role candidates must have proven experience working at this level and be confident working in a busy accounts roles, reporting into Directors.


Sage Line 50 experience would be ideal, in addition to holding good MS Excel skills.
