I am currently recruiting for an experience HR Business Partner to join a Media organisation in London.

The position is part of a larger HR team and HR Business Partner will support 1 line of the business in their HR Requirements.

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar position as a generalist HR Professional in either the Media, Sales or Professional services sector. They will also have extensive Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and Talent Management experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide professional and accurate advice to Management on all aspects of employee relations
• Advise on Company procedures and policies
• Apply excellent knowledge of employment legislation and to fully understand the specific implications, to ensure full compliance with good HR practice and appropriate commercial consideration
• Advise managers on performance management and personal development of their staff
• Advise managers on the conduct and content of formal disciplinary/grievance hearings; redundancy/restructure scenarios; to minute meetings and to be fully conversant with each element of the process/procedure; fully conversant with drafting letters, to reflect meeting content and action required
• Liaise with Mangers/Supervisors regarding absence levels, return to work interviews, independent medicals, formal meetings (prior to disciplinary action is taken)
• Conduct investigative meetings in relation to both employee grievances and potential disciplinary issues
• Maintain regular contact with Departmental Managers which may include regional visits
• Provide full support to the managers and employees in the specific business area; to provide cover for other HR Business Partners during absence
• Deliver defined ad hoc projects as required
• Support HR initiatives


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Graduate or equivalent; minimum 3 years solid employee relations experience
• Essential to have completed CIPD qualification
• Proven and substantial HR Generalist experience with sound and up to date working knowledge of employment law and good HR practice
• Good command of English language together with verbal and written communication skills
• Commercially biased and focused individual with a dynamic and enthusiastic work ethic
• A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills across all levels with the ability to build good business relationships
• Personal maturity with a pragmatic approach; initiative
• Good team player
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages : Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
