Our Client a firm of Financial Advisors requires an Executive Business Risk Manager for their offices in London.


Main Purpose of the role:
• Provide risk management and consultancy for Area Risk Manager and Head of Business with the aim of achieving the divisions mission statement which is ‘To safeguard clients through proactive risk mitigation’.
• Ensures safe growth of our business by providing field based, 1st line quality control incorporating reactive and proactive risk review.
• Implements corporate policy regarding regulatory requirements (compliance procedures) to effectively identify and manage the key risks (and monitor the low risks) within the Business Unit.
• Supports, coaches and develops the team to improve levels of risk awareness, ethics and quality commitment.
• Responsible for managing the output and performance of the Business Unit
• Ensures all areas of day to day business activities include (where appropriate):
• Making decisions with client’s best interests in mind
• Creating processes that meet the needs of our clients efficiently and effectively
• Using documents that are clear, easy to understand and avoid jargon
• Keeping clients suitably informed within appropriate timescales
• Giving suitable advice which takes account of client’s circumstances
• Carrying out all business with integrity and professionalism.





Main Functions Of The Job:





Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
• Implements and maintains the required systems to ensure that the Business Unit meets with the FCA’s objectives and the principles of good regulation.
• Undertakes the required Compliance programme.
• Undertakes regular financial review and monitoring
• Undertakes the speci?ed regular audit and trend analysis of the Business’ key record keeping requirements incorporating a quarterly Management Information review.
• Manages the Business Unit Investigation process.


Communication/Interfaces
• Ensures the Head of Business and Area Manager Business Risk are kept informed of all emerging risks within the Business Unit.


Compliance
• Investigates any issues that arise from central department feedback
• Undertakes Financial Monitoring meetings with Partners identified as demonstrating financial stress indicators.
• Provides on-going oversight and assists the Head of Business with the corporate objective of achieving and/or maintaining an appropriate compliance rating.
• Reviews complaints when deemed appropriate, considers the outcomes and takes action if required
