Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a retail organisation who are looking to appoint a HR Manager. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for much of the day to day HR administration and payroll but also to be a key player supporting management teams and dealing with people issues.

Responsibilities:

• The production of a timely and accurate payroll
• The control and overseeing of staff rotas in conjunction with line managers
• Conducting interviews with line managers
• Create, develop and deliver comprehensive induction programmes.
• Support to managers and active involvement with the performance management process.
• Up skill and support line managers with SMART goals and dealing with HR issues
• Assist with the management of individual Personal Improvement Plans.
• Deliver various in-house training programmes
• Co-ordinate coaching and mentoring programmes
• Identify Training and Development needs in line with business needs.
• Involvement and development of talent management and attraction process - drive strategies for attraction, development and retention of good people.
• Constantly review processes to drive continuous improvement.


Person Specification:

• A great HR generalist who is positive, bright and has “can do” attitude and a willingness to “muck in” as required.
• Resourceful and enjoy having the free reign to use your initiative, enthusiasm and tact.
• CIPD qualified but this is not essential.
• Ideally experienced in a retail or associated environment
• Capable of exercising a common sense and fair approach when interpreting Employment Law, company policies and procedures.
• Able to deliver an accurate payroll and maintain a up to date HR system as well as being capable of accepting responsibility for various ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Passionate about getting to know a business and will function well being in the thick of it.
