FINANCE CONTROLLER - SELBYA fantastic new opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing and successful business based in Selby. My client is looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join their team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience within such a role and either have a recognised accounting qualification or be working towards one.
MAIN DUTIES
Supplier invoices - ensure they are matched to relevant purchase orders, coded accurately and authorized.
Processing supplier invoices through sage.
Processing weekly supplier payment run through sage and on the bank.
Processing the monthly payment run for all tutors and responding to any finance related queries.
Processing of expense claims. Check all receipts have been received, correspond to claim form and are appropriately authorized within company policy.
Credit control to external customers.
Administration of company vehicle feet insurance including the management of insurance claims.
Monthly reconciliation of all company credit cards.
Any other ad hoc duties as required within the department.
GENERAL
To adhere to policies and procedures of the business.
Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties, and to take responsibility for his/her own professional development
To undertake any necessary Data Protection responsibilities and duties as required by the post
To undertake other duties and responsibilities as directed by line management from time to time
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Well organised and able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy
Good communication skills
Proven numerical and written skills
Able to work well under own initiative
Ability to work to deadlines
Good telephone manner
Willingness to adapt and respond to the changing and varied needs of the business
