Cameron James is proud to be working on behalf of a Global Professional Services Organisation who are looking for a Training Manager to report into their Head of Learning & Development.


This is an organisation which prides itself on the continuous professional development of its employees, at all levels and locations, and therefore this position is a key role in the HR department. The successful candidate will be able to negotiate and present at a senior level to agree direction of training requirements and budgetary needs. Ideally this person will come from a similar background in the private sector, have initiated and written internal training courses and be fully flexible on travel for the business.


The Training Manager will be accountable for the following:

• Developing and delivering management and skills programmes, including online and Webinar based.

• Overseeing internal training programmes including advising and liaising with relevant Training Partners and Support Managers on training needs, co-ordinating the training schedules, organising, overseeing and evaluating events.

• Involvement in the development, organisation and administration of business and support department off site training events as appropriate.

• Assisting the Head of Learning and Development.

• Work with external training providers on the delivery of management and skills programmes.

• In the nature of this role, it will be necessary to work outside normal working hours and some weekends to ensure the training events are properly supported.

• It will also be necessary to travel to other locations on a frequent basis. Some international travel may be required.


The ideal candidate will be able to actively demonstrate the following:

• Familiarity with training and delivery methods and experience of delivering training.

• Excellent communication skills, language skills would be beneficial.

• Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail.

• Familiarity with the delivery of management development programmes.

• Experience of working in the professional services sector is essential.

• Experience of on-line learning and, preferably, experience of facilitating on-line programmes.


Skills and Qualifications required:

• Educated to degree level.

• Training qualification such as PTLLS.

• Competent use of MS Word.

• Full UK Driving Licence
