Job Information

Cameron James are currently recruiting for an HR Officer in a busy Professional services environment with over 400 employees. My client is looking for an HR Officer at c. Β£22,000 who can work either part time (3 days minimum) or full time to support the HR department. They are looking for a smart professional, CIPD or equivalent qualified and able to work under their own initiative.


Key Responsibilities are:

• Build strong business relationships through the provision of excellent service and support to line management on a wide range of HR issues
• Advise line managers on policy and procedures

• Participate in the conduct and preparation of disciplinary/grievance investigations and meetings.
• Ensure employee records are maintained
• Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and projects as required
• Maintain knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Support and assist with the development of the HR Administrator

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• CIPD qualified or equivalent
• Able to demonstrate HR knowledge and experience
• Proven experience
• Develops a partnership approach to problem resolution

• Displays confidence and assertiveness in discussions and the ability to influence decision making
• Initiative to drive forward HR processes and shape new projects
• General knowledge of employment law
• The ability to effectively communicate in all forms at all levels within an organisation
• Results orientated : able to focus on specific targets and demonstrate target achievement
• Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude
• Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Experience of using an HR System

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Experience of working in a professional, private sector service industry, in a high volume processing environment
