Our client is a well-known worldwide manufacturing organisation who now require Logistics Coordinator to join their exciting & fast moving business in the UK.

The Role


To manage the transport of materials into the service centre and the company storage depots in the UK also
the distribution of materials out of these locations to customers

Main Duties:

• To manage the transport sub-contractors to produce the full requirement of the customer for quality and quantity at the right time in an efficient manner.
• To liaise with the QM about quality issues, the Operations Manager about overall objectives and performance.
• To be aware of customer expectations and complaints and to ensure that there is effective and timely response to problems.
• To ensure that administration duties are maintained in relation to the control and reconciliation of materials coming in to the UK and service centers World Wide.
• To highlight deficiencies in physical and. human resources and to correct them or to ensure that they are corrected by others to ensure that deliveries and financial targets are met.
• To assist in ensuring that processes are planned, monitored and controlled and that available data is analysed regularly and promptly to identify opportunities for improvement.
• To assist in ensuring that the management systems used within the warehouse operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with the documented ISO 8001: 2o08 quality management system.
• To ensure that the transport sub-contractors comply with health and safety and other legislative requirement and relevant Group policies.
• To measure and report performance and to support and promote continuous improvements in products, services, systems and working practices in order to meet the warehouse quality objectives in the most effective manner.


Responsibility:

• The Logistics Co Coordinator has the authority to undertake all actions within the warehouse
• It also includes authority to make modifications to equipment and processes within agreed policies and procedures and as directed by the Operations Manager. He/she also has authority to initiate corrective action and improvements and to require others to comply with these changes.
• In the absence of the Logistics Supervisor the Warehouse Supervisor will act as their deputy.
