Production Control Specialist
Salary: Circa £35k to £38k DOE plus overtime and fantastic company benefits.
Location: North West - Chester


Our client is a leading automotive manufacture and now require a production control specialist to join their team. They challenge their people every day to look for ways to do things better, and it’s this passion for continuous improvement that drives our business.

Role:
As a Production Control Specialist you will manage, control and visualise inventory levels to support a work environment. Through a strategic approach you will enhance the ability of the supply base by the use of a continuous improvement methodology .You will develop packaging solutions for current and future projects. You will also have responsibility for the logistics partners and working with our head office you will look to rationalise and then improve the logistics cost base.

Main Duties:
1. Manage inventory levels of components parts to ensure the appropriate stock is maintained at all times.
2. Monitoring of supply parts through the supply chain, detecting any abnormality and taking quick action to resolve these issues.
3. Continue to maintain and develop the European supply base to ensure the supplier supports philosophy, through go, look, see and understand the supplier’s true condition.
4. Development of packaging solutions to ensure optimum packing density at the lowest cost and to support best trailer density utilisation.
5. Site responsibility for the logistics partners, chairing the monthly meeting with our logistics partners, ensuring any problems highlighted have clear understanding of ‘root cause’ to ensure robust countermeasures and standardisation are then put in place.


Experience Required:
Educated to honors degree level, preferably you’ll have proven experience in a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment. This will have given you excellent problem : solving skills, a cool head and superb communication abilities .You will have strong computer skills and be fluent in Excel. Competent and credible, you’ll be ready to take your skills to the next level in one of the world’s leading manufacturing environments.
