Job Information

Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a Leading National organisation who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor.

The HR Advisor will provide professional HR advice and guidance to unit managers as directed by the Head of HR and working in collaboration with HR Partners within the team. Additionally they will work on key HR projects as directed by the Head of HR and other senior managers within the HR unit dependent on business needs. This will include the management of project planning administration.

Responsibilities:

• Contracts of employment, including various types of short-term contracts together with the implementation of new contracts.
• Job evaluation
• Performance management including disciplinary issues
• Grievances and bullying and harassment matters
• Sickness absence management
• Manage the coordination of project planning as required by the Head of HR in the furtherance of the strategic objectives of HR and its business plan.
• Ensure that communications with clients and stakeholders on projects are delivered in accordance with agreed project plans.
• Compile accurate statistical and management information as required by Head of HR and other managers
• To undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required.


Person Specification:

• Education to degree level or equivalent. GCSE ‘C’ or above in English and Maths or equivalent
• A relevant qualification in the field of HR or management at least at certificate level or equivalent
• Experience of providing advice and guidance on a wide range of human resources issues, working with customers to identify problems and implement HR solutions
• Experience of working with confidential matters
• A sound working knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Experience of applying employment legislation in a working environment
• Experience of working effectively in collaboration with trade unions
• Experience of working with remote/home based employees and management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively on complex issues, taking into account the confidential and potentially sensitive nature of the subject matter
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all HR issues
• Good understanding of equality and diversity issues in an employment field
• Proficiency in the use of IT including email, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications
• Numeric skills sufficient to interpret and present data in a meaningful, concise and relevant way
