I am currently recruiting for a Finance Director position but this is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller looking for the next step in their career. The position is based in Billingshurst.

Working for a company who has continued to grow over the last decade are now expanding and looking for a driven candidate who is keen to improve on their experience.

The role will be taking full responsibility for a growing SME. You will be directly reporting into and working closely with the CEO and manage a team of approx 5.

Duties will include:

• Providing direction and leadership of the finance function of the company
• Working with senior management to improve efficiency of the operations and accounting information and reporting system, enabling it to make demands of growing business model
• Ensuring finance department has right calibre of personnel to support the business operations
• Maintaining continuous improvement philosophy around reporting, business metrics and proactive analysis of the business
• Function as a change agent where necessary
• Presenting and taking responsibility for key finance matters to the board
• Maintaining oversight, communication and management for costs and overheads etc
• Preparing company for ultimate exit either through MBO, or Mergers and Acquisitions.
• Cash management, pensions, insurances, Research and Development, VAT, human resources and Company Financing
• Managing a team of 5


Key skills:

• Candidate must be qualified with at least 5 years PQE
• Stock experience
• Proven experience of heading up a team
• Strong systems experience (Sage line 50 preferable)
• Previous experience of adding value to a company
